Hemp is an incredible plant that’s continually surprising us with new benefits and applications. A variety of the Cannabis sativa plant, this tough-as-nails subspecies is now a key source of Delta-8, a game-changing cannabinoid coveted for its smooth and clear-headed highs. Delta-8 has redefined the way we enjoy hemp flower and distillate has a big role to play. Read more…

The word “distil” conjures up visions of crystal-clear gin and ultra-pure vodka. In the cannabis world, the concept is fairly similar and refers to cannabis extracts that have been purified of all plant matter and contain just one specific cannabinoid. For Delta-8 distillates, the cannabinoid of interest is Delta-8-Tetrahydrocannabinol, also known as Delta-8 or simply D8. Read more…

An isomer of Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol, D8 shares an almost identical molecular structure to the wildly popular cannabinoid, with one small but significant difference. While Delta-9 has a double bond of atoms on the ninth carbon, the Delta-8 double bond is on the eighth carbon. This means the cannabinoid binds to the body’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS) in a slightly different way. It’s this variation that alters the physical and psychotropic effects of Delta-9 and makes it the most exciting new cannabinoid to hit the dry herb industry in recent times. Read more…

Like we just explored, Delta-8 shares an almost identical molecular structure to Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol. While Delta-9 can be extracted only from marijuana plants with high THC content, Delta-8 can be harvested from legally grown hemp with Delta-9 THC content of less than 0.3%. Anything over this is classed as an illegal “controlled substance” by the DEA and can’t be sold in most US states. Read more…

Yes! Dabbing is one of our all-time favorite ways to use Delta-8 distillate, but we’d only recommend it for experienced consumers who are comfortable with the method and its effects. The technique uses a hot surface to vaporize and inhale cannabis concentrates, promising a fast-acting and intense high. You’ll need a purpose-built dab rig to use Delta-8 distillate this way so be sure to invest in the right setup before getting started. Read more…

As a natural food-grade product, Delta 8 distillate is definitely safe for consumption. That said, you’ll need to have a good understanding of dosage before you eat Delta-8 distillate. One of the easiest and most effective ways to enjoy D8 is a few drops under the tongue, pausing to let the distillate dissolve into the bloodstream before swallowing. Read more…

Delta 8 Distillate ⬆︎

Hemp is an incredible plant that’s continually surprising us with new benefits and applications. A variety of the Cannabis sativa plant, this tough-as-nails subspecies is now a key source of Delta-8, a game-changing cannabinoid coveted for its smooth and clear-headed highs. Delta-8 has redefined the way we enjoy hemp flower and distillate has a big role to play. What’s so special about D8 distillate? Let’s dive in.

What is distillate? ⬆︎

D8: 101 ⬆︎

What makes D8 legal? ⬆︎

D8 on the other hand is different. Thanks to innovative new technologies and extraction methods, extracting Delta-8 from hemp is now a bona fide way to harness the therapeutic properties of hemp flower.

What does Delta 8 distillate do? ⬆︎

Delta-8 distillate packages all the benefits of the coveted cannabinoid into one seriously potent liquid. The product is a cannabis oil concentrate with a high percentage of Delta-8- tetrahydrocannabinol, the naturally occurring compound that gives the product its therapeutic and psychotropic properties.

While Delta-9 tends to steal the thunder, Delta-8 has been making big waves in the cannabis industry over the past year. Here’s why:

So, what can you do with Delta-8 distillate? Let’s take a look at some of our favorite ways to use this liquid gold.

Can you dab Delta 8 distillate? ⬆︎

If you use hemp flowers to manage pain, dabbing can be a good way to enjoy instant relief. Concentration is extremely high which allows for a much stronger dose of cannabinoids than any other inhalation method offers.

Dabbing is also popular with seasoned dry herb consumers chasing a cleaner and purer experience. The method also eliminates the need to combust plant material, allowing terpene connoisseurs to savor the unique flavors and aromas of their flower.

Can you eat Delta 8 distillate? ⬆︎

D8 is also great for cooking, with oil or butter used to homogenize the mixture and get a nice even blend.

What we really love about cooking with D8 distillate is the clean taste you just don’t get with cannabis-infused oil or cannabutter. Not only can these leave herby aromas in your kitchen, but they can also infuse your baked goods with an earthy taste – not exactly ideal for gooey brownies or cookies. As well as a cleaner taste, distillate makes dosing a cinch. Professional chemists have already done all the calculations and clearly measured D8 content, meaning you’ll never find yourself too high.

Can you put distillate on flower? ⬆︎

If you love the ritual of smoking or vaping but don’t want to miss out on the benefits of THC distillate, combining the two can be a great way to toke up. Using a small pipette, add a few drops of Delta-8 distillate to your flower before rolling or packing into a bowl.

How much does a liter of Delta-8 distillate cost? ⬆︎

The price of Delta-8 distillate can vary significantly depending on quality, potency, and the manufacturer. For our high-quality Amber grade containing between 60 – 70% D8 THC expect to pay around USD$160/50ml. A little goes a long way, making Delta-8 distillate incredible value if you’re keen to take a hands-on approach to botanicals.

What color should distillate be? ⬆︎

Like price, the color of Delta 8 THC distillate will also vary depending on quality, potency and processes used by the manufacturer. Generally, the clearer a distillate the higher the cannabinoid content.

We sell three different grades –Amber, Gold, and Clear. With Delta-8 content of between 60 – 70%, Amber has rich honey-colored tones. Our Gold blend contains between 70 – 85% D8, with lighter hues and a more translucent finish. Clear is our highest and most potent grade, with Delta-9 content of between 85 – 98%. Virtually colorless, this grade is distilled for connoisseurs
